Achieve healthy gums and a balanced smile with gum surgery, a specialized approach to improving the health and aesthetics of your mouth.

Gum Surgery

Gum surgery, also known as periodontal surgery, encompasses a variety of procedures to treat gum problems such as receding gums, excess gum tissue or periodontal pockets. It aims to restore gum health, improve the appearance of the smile and prevent more serious complications such as bone loss.

Definition :

Gum surgery techniques vary depending on the problem to be treated.

For retracted gums, a gum graft can be performed by taking a piece of tissue from another part of the mouth and placing it over the affected areas.

For periodontal pockets, a pocket reduction procedure can be performed to eliminate bacteria and reduce inflammation.

In the case of excess gingiva, a gingivectomy can be performed to remove the excess tissue.

Technical

The duration of gum surgery depends on the type of procedure performed. In general, gum grafting or periodontal pocket reduction procedures can take between 1 and 2 hours.

A gingivectomy for excess gingiva can be shorter, taking around 30 minutes to 1 hour. Recovery time also varies according to the procedure, but most patients can return to their normal activities after a few days to a week.

Duration of the intervention:
