Definition :

Orthodontic treatment begins with a consultation, during which impressions, photos and dental X-rays are taken to develop a personalized plan. Once the plan has been validated, aligners are designed. Each aligner is worn for approximately 1 to 2 weeks, exerting gentle pressure to gradually move the teeth into their intended position, before moving on to the next set of aligners in the series.

The ability to remove the aligners for eating and brushing simplifies their integration into the daily routine.

The total duration of orthodontic treatment depends on the malposition of the teeth. On average, treatments generally last between 8 months and 2 years. You will need to wear the aligners for at least 20 to 22 hours a day to achieve the desired results.

Regular follow-up visits are necessary to monitor progress and adjust the treatment plan if necessary.
